Planets are used for trading and completing missions. To capture a planet, a player must win the planetary election that occurs every Sunday of each week. To win a planet, a player must have more influence than any other player at the planet. Influence is gained by trading goods at the planet. 1 good sold at the planet = 1 influence. Influence is reset at the end of an election cycle. Once a planet is claimed a player may set a planetary fee ranging from 0-50%.
There are 5 mines on each planet that mine 2 different ores. Planet leader can invest money to upgrade the mines for bigger output. Each level costs more money:
